Great American 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate our nation’s birthday with a spectacular fireworks show at Arena Park on Thursday July 4, 2024! This event features Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award presentation & a performance by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band in the Arena Park Grandstands. 
Set up a lawn chair or picnic blanket at the fair grounds in Arena Park to view the fireworks show! Please, no personal fireworks in the park.

6:00 pm – Arena Park opens for tailgating and food truck rally.
7:30 pm – Patriotic music by the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band.
8:00 pm – Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award and remarks from Southeast Missourian and city dignitaries.
8:45 pm – Fireworks begin.
